On June 26, 2010, the census of population questions for the upcoming 2011 Census were published in the Canada Gazette as required by the Statistics Act.
To the surprise of many who rely on Canadian census data for their research, the government has decided to eliminate the long form census questionnaire for the 2011 survey.
