CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) has accepted our offer to receive their library collection by the end of March, 2010. As you may have heard, this is a large collection of over 14,000 books, maps and print journals which relate to international development.

This collection will be put in the storage facility until it can be weeded for duplicates and the rest integrated into our collection. The exception will be about 800 un-catalogued books which are new and which will be immediately processed for our collection.

The library is delighted to have this major acquisition as it will be of great use to many academic units on campus including the Institute of African Studies, NPSIA, Dept. of Geography and Environmental Studies, the School of Business, SPPA, etc.
